Intensive Behavioral Support Services

CCG Inc.,provides a wide range of quality positive behavioral supports programs to benefit individuals with severe behaviors. Our team of behavior specialists tailor individualized intervention plans to assist the problem behaviors exhibited by each individual.

Supporting a person to change behavior should be done in the context of a person-centered planning process that focuses on helping the person live the life he or she desires. Our team of behavior consultants and Board Certified Behavior analysts use evidence based approaches and Positive Behavior Supports programs to assist individuals whose behaviors pose a threat to them and everyone in their immediate environments.

Positive Behavior Supports are used to support a person to change behavior which:

    • interferes with his or her growth and development, or
    • interferes with his or her ability to make decisions and achieve goals, or
    • results in medication being prescribed to modify the behavior, or
    • poses a risk to the health and safety of the person or others.

The purpose of positive behavior supports is to support individual growth, enhance the person’s quality of life, and make the use of more intrusive measures unnecessary.

Compassionate care Giver’s behavior management consultants make sure the individual would provide guidance in deciding what behavior to attempt to change. The individual’s input into design of the support strategies would be actively sought.

We train our support staff to take the initiative to change behavior when the individual’s actions jeopardize his or her health and safety or that of others, or interfere with his or her ability to build relationships with others. Our programs are designed and supervised to ensure that behavior change is not to be pursued for the convenience of staff.
